"Look what I found on my Saturday garage saleing"
I've been recreating the colors in my home and this color green lamp is just what I needed.
The lamp was sitting on a table in the back of a ladies garage and my radar took me
right to it.... I was polite but I had to squeeze through several people, but "I got it"!!
I paid only $6.00 for it.... I'm not sure about the shade but that can be fixed with embellishments, or a new one?
I also found this really nice "Frame for $2.00"
There is an empty spot on the wall above where the new lamp is going and the area requires a long narrow shape... was not sure what to put in the frame but look at this.....
The before, large size.
"Then I got out my trusty miter saw and cut the sides off, about 4" to make it a smaller size"
Out came my favorite glue, strong "Liquid Nails"... glued the sides together and let set for about an hour.
"Now to give it a new coat of paint"
I think I'm going to use my artsey talents and put this wall hanging inside somehow.. glue it or something.. I need to play with it and see how it go's.
It's little green apples... originally used as a wall/door hanging.
Once I have it finished I'll be back to show the results..
I just love creating something new.
Wish me luck!

Love your finds! Can't wait to see what you do with the frame. I just bought 2 lamps tonight at goodwill....can't wait to paint them.
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the first picture my eyes were drawn to the green lamp. I love it! The apples in the frame will be perfect. Can't wait to see them.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for the yard sales to start here. They usually don't start until late April, early May though. I still have a while to wait.
This $6 lamp was a steal...now I like the shade...like the shape! I'm sorry about the linky deal...they have been having some problems...it's back working again.

Linda
