I knew my Gardenia was about ready to burst into bloom.
Look what was out by the front porch this morning.
And of course I had to bring in the first two blooms and put
them on my kitchen window sill.
I'll just leave them up for you all to smell the wonderfullness of these beauties.
For the next week the front of my house will smell like
"HEAVEN"
My Gardenia Tree has literally hundreds of buds just waiting
to burst!
Now "This is Spring"
Too bad my Gardenia doesn't bloom all Summer long so I'll just enjoy the smell and sight of it's beautifulness for as long as I can.

I wish I could smell their wonderfulness... MY mom loved Gardenia. She tried many times to grow one, but failed.
ReplyDeleteWhen ever she had the chance to get a clipping from someone she did the same; put it in the kitchen window.
They are so fragrant.
enjoy!

Of course...you have to bring some inside so you can enjoy that heavenly fragrance. Great idea to plant one next to your front porch...what a wonderful welcome to all your guests. Looks like you caught the 'blue hour' in your photos...how cool.
ReplyDeleteI do love the smell. I wish they could winter over here.
ReplyDeleteI had one once in my water garden and it smells so sweet. It loved the water on its feet.
I had gardenia for the first time last year and I loved it! Yours looks beautiful. I love the fragrance. Coming over from WOW Us Wednesdays. I'm now following you on GFC. Hugs, Kim
ReplyDeleteI always think of my grandmother when I smell a gardenia. She had several bushes in her yard, and I loved the fragrance. I planted a miniature bush beside my screen porch last year, but it's just not the same as the one with the big flowers.Following through Linky followers now.
ReplyDeleteI love gardenias. Must go check mine for buds. Yours are lovely.
ReplyDeleteI am so in love with your gardenias. The front porch is the perfect place. Thank you for this wonderful post! I would love it if you would share this at our What’s It Wednesday blog party. Hope to see you there.

ReplyDeleteWe just recieved a gardenia as a gift and it is blooming! I never knew you could cut them they are so small. Thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to know what a gardenia smells like. Such a beautiful blossom!
ReplyDeleteI have been crazy about gardenias since I was very young. They grew in profusion around my grandmother's house, and I would always pick some to bring inside. I grew up in Georgia, and they were so easy to grow there. We have lied in 7 states, and have been in Texas for 25 years now. Gardenias do not like it here, but I always strive to keep one on my screened porch. The current gardenia has lived for three years...that's a record. Thank you so much for sharing these...I can almost smell the fragrance of my favorite flower. Thank you for sharing. I am a new follower. Patsy
ReplyDeleteYour Gardenia is beautiful, we can only grow Gardenia Kleims Hardy outside in the UK which I adore.
ReplyDelete'Pondside' if you haven't experienced the smell of a gardenia yet hold onto your hat.
You'll never forget the first time you smell Gardenia. I adore it.

My parents have gardenia by my old room and I miss that aroma! What a great treat to be able to bring inside as well.
