Only 4 months till....

You guessed it... "Christmas".

I know, I know, you don't want to hear about "Christmas" while "It's hot and sticky out",  but you know as well as I,  how fast it sneaks up on us. Now is the time to start all those crafty projects.

I started some "Christmas Ornaments" for my kids... "Cross Stitch" has been my constant companion for the past week.. another project will be joining me in the Doctors waiting room tomorrow.

I'll tell you about this one another time

"My garage sale find"

I found a "Cross Stitch Kit" at a garage sale about two months ago, for all of .50cents and thought "It's time to get started with all the little things that take time"....

The nice part, these little 'rounds' are fast and easy... the only change I made was  adding my grandsons names to them... then I used some left over fabric for the backing, put batting in the center of each and zigged around with the sewing maching.. simple enough!  Oh, I also put some red twine inside for the ornament hanger.

A bit of ribbon for decoration... that should be it!  Ready to store away for the "Xmas Box" that will be mailed in November to "Guam".
I've got about 6 different Christmas projects in the works and really like the idea of starting months before December rolls around.. You know how it is when the "Season" is staring us in the face and were not ready....

So, get out your needles ladies.. time to work on "Christmas"

OMG, I know, I have to get going on the holiday crafts! I finally found a white Christmas tree at a thrift store in March I have been looking for 2 years $15.00, I was waiting for a good deal. Now I need new decorations as it is bigger than my old tree....Gotta get going!

Love the little ornaments. My daughter loves to do cross stitch and always has a project going.

You're right! I am not ready. I am trying to soak in the fact that my baby will be starting kindergarten.

Oh, it's never too hot and sticky to get ready for Xmas!!! I love to cross stitch also:) My MIL gave me a set of cross stitch decorations that she bought years ago and never got around to doing. I have another stitching I need to finish but as soon as its done I'm starting on the ornaments!

Oh, I wish I had your organizational skills, you're getting ready for Christmas already! That's a very good idea, something I need to work on, as I'm always putting things off. I have a wedding to attend this weekend and I'm supposed to be sewing a new dress, but, well it's a few days away, I can always hem the dress in the car enroute, right?

The cross stitch ornaments are awesome, too. Lovely gifts!

My husband and I live in a two bedroom single-wide mobile home. Last year we bought a slightly larger Christmas tree that hasn't been out of the box yet. It is probably 4 feet tall, the old one was 2 feet. So, I will have the fun of buying decorations for it. Since it hasn't been out of the box, I really don't know what I need or the size. If I did, I could be making something now. Reading you post is making me antsy to do something.
