"Crochet Bow Orniments"

Christmas  Ornaments are one part of  Christmas  that I love. I have so many collected over the years.  Making for myself or  as gifts has always been a pleasure for me.

This set of Crochet Bows are in the mail and on their way to Guam for my daughters living room tree.

I used white Christmas yarn with a silver thread through it.
Each bow is just one row of a simple double crochet.
That was easy!

I then twisted each strip into a bow.
Put in a few stitches to hold it together.
The nice thing about crochet you can make your bows with a few more rows and make them thicker and longer.

Then came the little trinket for the center of the bow.
I chose little foam packages, thinking my grandsons might enjoy them.
Using a simple tacky glue to attach the trinket to the center of the bow.

These little ornaments can be used for a variety of decorating ideas and are also very light weight.

You can use a simple narrow ribbon or the standard wire hooks
to hang from your tree.  Another use is to adorn your packages.
Use your imagination with these sweet little bows.

I might just make a set of Bows for myself!
The closer we get to Christmas the happier I get.

I'll be linking up to

Oh dear...you said, "Each bow is just one row of simple double crochet." You really know how to hurt a guy! :) Do you know how many times I've taken lessons over the years? It just doesn't seem to take. I actually can do nice even stitches, but I just can't count the individual stitches. I don't see it. I try and keep count as I go, but that doesn't work. So, I admire your ability. The bows are beautiful!

Sandy these are so crafty and cute! I have some Easter eggs that my auntie crocheted years ago. She took plastic eggs and crocheted around them. I wish I had more of them. She was so talented. what a sweet post and made me smile with an old memory!

Those ornaments are just the cutest, and all the more precious because they are handmade. I sure wish I knew how to knit and crochet.

I am so pleased my French Blue post helped you. The color really is pretty elusive but like I said "I know it when I see it" but can't describe. :) How sweet to make the cute bows for your daughter's tree. I know she will love them and will have a bit of your heart on her tree. :) Have a wonderful weekend.

HI Sandy, My grandmother crocheted and so did many of my aunts. I have some of the things they made tucked away, but I've not seen bows like this.

How pretty and lacy they are!

Thanks for a beautiful link to the letter B.
