A Simple Holiday Table Runner

It seems every holiday I might use the same decorations, with a few new purchases but I just don't use the same design in every room...  I like change and this year I'm using more red than any other color.
I found out I did not have a table runner with bright red.
Now that the kids are all off on their own I'm getting into more simple grown-up designs.
After a quick run to the fabric store I made a new runner.  Once the piece was sewn together with a bit of batting inside I did a few hand quilting stitches to hold it all together.

Well now that I see it in the photo I need more red.. on the chair seats.  Ok, let me run to the fabric store.
To be continued....
Don't you just love Christmas?

You've just reminded me I need a holiday runner. Sewing it is a great idea, so you end up with exactly what you want. Off to the fabric store I go!
