Letting your child soar is not easy but when you do....

I woke this morning to this photo and all I could do was let the tears fall down my cheeks.
It's the first formal photo my boy has had done in quite a while.
What's a mom to do but let her heart swell with pride.

I can see his sisters smiling and saying
"It's still dorkey Tommy"

This is how I remember you, as a little boy with such far off dreams. I spent a lot of time trying to clip those wings to keep you on the ground, then you grew into a man and I had to let go and let you soar.

"Bravo Zulu Tommy"

God Bless your SON and you for your gifts of service and committment to blessing all of us with your sacrifice . I thank you and Tommy from the bottom of my heart. As a mom I cant even imagine that feeling of letting go like that for military ..BUT what a noble and grand think you have both done.. I am honored to just know you and have you in my life blogging..... HUGS

Oh Sandy, this post brought tears to my eyes. I have a 4 year old son, and Tommy's little picture touched my heart. What will I do if Grayson grows to serve as Tommy has? I would pray for the same strength you are blessed with. Thank you to you and Tommy for your sacrifices.

XOXO,
Meredith
