It seems to me, "This Bath Reno" is taking forever!
I began the "White" transformation, then thought of the 'Wall Color"
I tested several colors of "Blue" and by golly, "I think I've got it"

Yellow has been on these walls for the past 4 years and they really were horrible..
My Husband and I have been getting very itchy over this "Gulf Oil Spill" and he seems to think, "It's a waist of my time putting all this energy into our Town House". Our property values are going down, in a big way, since the "Spill"...."We will never get the money your spending, if the entire Gulf Coast is ruined" he said! We live very close to the beach!
Well,, I'm doing it anyway! I need to feel that "It will be over one day" and "The values will go back to normal" There have been several "Class Action Suites" filed on behalf of homeowners around the "Coast". I guess, "Only time will tell"?
Back to the Painting of the "Master Bath"
The new paint went on so easy and I only put on 'one' coat... Of course I bought the 'Paint and Primer" in one. To save myself a lot of work!
Ok.. the "Vanity has been painted"
(Click the above link to see how I did this)
The Window has had it's "Face Lift"
The "Linen Closet" has been " Re-Shelved" and Painted..
(click the link to see how I did it)
Now the "Tub" is on my radar!
Just look at it! "The tub needs to be next"
I am doing research on "How to Paint
the Tub and Tile".....
(yes, White)
I'm really liking how this "Reno" is coming... except the tile is a creamy color, and "I want it White"...
There is an "Epoxy" paint for this, and they say "It takes up to 5 days to dry".. we never use the tub anyway,, except on a 'Bad Back Day".. (I like to soak in hot water for those days) but I usually use the 'Shower'.. it's big inside and I love it!
Then, there is the "Counter Top"... I watched a video and read in a book, "How to paint the Counter Top" and it really looked pretty easy, and the finished results were nice!
I have been thinking on changing out the counter top with an additional sink, but the more I work on the bathroom, I'm starting to change my mind! Well, I will think on this more!
What color for the counter top?
To be Continued.......

I'm liking the new blue on the walls. The blue bottles on the window shelves are a great punch of extra color also. Good job.
Even if you are just doing the master bath redo just for yourself it is worth it!
So much to say here...
First, I'm so happy to hear the update on Heather. What a blessing!
Second, I am still praying against that oil and believing with you that clear waters are ahead... and soon!!
Third, I have enjoyed following the bathroom transformation. My mother painted her ceramic tiles in her bathrooms, and we really like the results. I'm anxious to see what you do with the tub. I have the off white tubs in my house, and I've been eyeballing the kits at Lowes for them.
And the countertop painting... I've eyeballed that too.
So do all the hard work and experimentation for me, OK? I'll cheer you on.
blue looks great, very relaxing! time for a bubble bath.
Paint makes such a difference! I'm in the middle of my own bathroom redo and going from a boring beige to a beautiful soft grey-blue has made a world of difference. I too would love to change out my countertop because it's in a yellow-y marble. Yeech.
Apparently, from what I have heard, you just have to Liquid Nail the new countertop onto the vanity. I'm assuming the hard part is actually removing the old countertop without taking half the bathroom with it.
So good luck and I will be following your trials and tribulations.
It looks really nice! You can come and help me with my daughter's room, k. :P
This has turned out to be such a wonderful redo, and each project is just great! Good for you for going full steam ahead with this redo! Good luck and thank you for inviting us into your home on Modern Craftswoman Monday! Rory
What a beautiful renovation! The oil does have this sense of doom and loss with it, but I have to think there is value in creating beauty in the face of it. Thanks so much for Loving the Gulf!
Great project - it's moving forward splendidly!

The blue looks great...very calm and relaxing!
That pretty blue is the right color. I hope you keep positive. Things will get better eventually.
That blue is beautiful! What color is it? Sorry if you included it somewhere.. I've got strep right now and the brain is a bit fuzzy. I can't wait to see the rest of the transformation.
Everything is looking great. I'll keep my eye on this project to see what you decide to do with the tiles tub and sink. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Sandy,
That bath redo is looking great. Your tub and tile have a sand look why not work that up in a more beachy look. Painting a tub is hard..the epoxy paint is tough to work with and with all the humidity and water in the bath...you'll be redoing the paint on the tile ocassionally. You could use white beadboard panaling to box in the tub..just a thought.
I love the color! It's looking great! Thanks for linking up to We Can Do It Cheaper!
The news about Heather's donor is fantastic!
Your hubby is being a typical male...all logic! They just don't understand our need as women to beautify. But I understand perfectly!
Your redo is beautiful. I really like the wall color...so soothing.
Thanks for linking in to Time Travel Thursday.
Would love to have you join one of my parties each week.
Have a happy and safe 4th!

The news about Cathy's daughter is wonderful!
Have you ever been over to bumpkin on a swing...she and her Captain are really involved in the gulf clean up. She has been doing some wonderful posts on the disaster.
You bathroom looks fantastic. After we finish the kitchen, the master bath is next..ours is UGLY!
I will be interested to know about the counter top paint...I have considered it, but never tried it.
I like the blue! Looking forward to seeing your painted countertops, as I want to do this to mine as well. Thanks for sharing. Happy Friday! :o)
Oh, it looks wonderful!
